Charlie & Maïa are the brilliant tutors behind Street French. Teaching ‘textbook’ French is only the half of learning the language, many would argue. Something we have all dealt with as French teachers is this: How do we make the French language practical for everyday life? Do we really need to know how to say “Bonjour monsieur, où est le musée?”

Fortunately, they found a solution and in 2013, Street French was born! Charlie has a B.A. in French and Francophone Studies and started teaching English at the Université de Rouen in 2017. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in French at Middlebury College’s language schools. Maïa has been working as a private French teacher since 2013. She does all of the illustrations for StreetFrench.org and she also teaches private French classes. We are so excited to have them collaborate with us! Check out their website here: Street French
